    Wonderful that it is finally what it was meant to be. You did a beautiful job, I'm sure this will be treasured for many years.

    It's not too late to make a label for the back giving the history of the quilt. Someone in the future will be happy that you did - and so will the woman who owns it now!

    Update. The lady for whom I made the quilt is going to document some information about the various signers and plans to donate the quilt to the historical museum in the county where this town is along with the information she puts together. She worked in the local HM here for years so knows what kind of info they'd like to have. She was wondering what would happen to the quilt after she is gone and seemed pleased with the idea of making it a museum gift. I think she will enjoy the process of writing down memories as well.

    PS--I did put an informative label on the quilt when I made it.
