I finished this quilt tonight. I made it to donate to a local hospital. After doing the friendship star BOM, I thought it would make a perfect baby quilt.

WOW!! I've made several Friendship Star quilts--but I've never seen one with that awesome shading to make another star in the background. So cool! Thanks for sharing!!

I also have never seen the shading. It adds a whole new dimension. Great job. :D :D :D

What a beautiful quilt! I, too, haven't seen the shaded star and I love it! Nice job!

Love your baby quilt. This is a style that I've been wanting to do and haven't got around to yet. Your quilt is reminding me that I need to get with it and make one of these. Beautiful job!!!

There is going to be one lucky baby with the quilt. I love the way you did the shading. I have a baby shower at the end of this month, and would love to copy your idea.
Did you get the pattern with the BOM from this board. Which month was it, I keep on looking and can not find it. MUST need new glasses, either that or I am getting blinded with all the snow that has fallen this morning. We first got freezing rain, which is a good inch thick. Hubby just went out to brush off the car and the whole car is covered with a sheet of ice.
A good quilting day.
SO, if any one can help me out with finding this pattern, I sure would appreciate it.
Thanks

The friendship star pattern can be found at http://www.quilterscache.com/F/FriendshipStarBlock.html it was the BOM for December 1, 2007; it is on the second page in the BOM section. Happy quilting
