Absolutely beautiful, and so well done! I hope it raises the big funds it deserves!

You put a lot of careful thought into this quilt and it shows. It is just stunning and a great theme for the new school in Zambia. Wonderful colors and details, make it amazing!

There is a U tube by the American Quilt Society explaining how to make a hanging sleeve. There are other Utube videos also. I followed the AQS video when I made a sleeve for my first quilt I displayed. It is really easy. Most sleeves are muslin. One of the Utube videos showed using the same fabric as the backing and I don't see anything wrong with that. The AQS video is the accepted sleeve for entering a quilt show.

I don't remove the sleeve from any of my quilts. I just whip it down on both sides. It is not bothersome to me to have the sleeve permanently attached.

Beautiful beautiful quilt . Believe it or not I have most of those main fabrics in my stash . Considering the geographic area , this was a great choice of fabrics . You should be proud .

Thank you all so much for the advice about a sleeve and the lovely, lovely comments about it. I'm so delighted with the response the quilt has had its in direct disproportion to my terror that it wasn't up to the mark.
