Thanks everyone, I was afraid that gold and green were not going to look good, but when I got it done it looked spectacular. so lesson here, dont worry if you dont love the colors, just go for it.

I didnt try to make this happen but was very happy how it worked out, several of the butterflies ended up right in the center or offset in the solid gold areas....just perfect and totally unplanned!

Yep, there is gold in "them thar hills"...opps I mean in "that thar quilt". It is lovely and very nicely done.

Looks great! How neat you can rent a long-arm. Don't know of anything like that in my area.
