Default Garden Party - First Quilt (ever!!)

Ok, so I'd attended the Rocky Mountain Shop Hop here in Colorado. I had an idea that I wanted to create a quilt based on the theme of Colorado's Wild Flowers and came up with Moda's "Garden Party." I was called everything from 'ambitious' to 'crazy' and I'd settled into a label of 'determined.'

Now, mind you, the binding and the sashing and the tying must still be completed; this is, however, essentially how the quilt topper will look.

This is beautiful. I have never seen this design before. Is it your own creation or is it a pattern. Lovely colours, very special. Thank you for sharing.

Hang on... let me get this straight... this is your first quilt? Ever? WOW! "Ambitious" is about right! As is fabulous! I'm not familiar with this pattern but I love it!

That's very vibrant. Those look like dresdens.. are they appliqued on that square? Are those little colorful petals at the corners going to be 3D and stick up when they're done?

Wow think what you'll do with your second quilt. Great job.
