This is from a jelly roll book. It went together fairly quickly, which is a good thing, because I only had a couple of weeks to finish it. This is the first time I've used clear thread--it sure helps to hide all my goofs!

I am beginning to see how the border can really finish off a scrap quilt ...
not that this was a scrap quilt, but the look is scrappy, and I really like it!
How do you decide which color to put next to each other?
I know these are really simple questions, but I just can't get the hang of it.
Can't bring myself to cut my jelly rolls or most of my fabric because I just cannot figure out how to put them together to look as beautiful as this quilt is ... and all the others on this list <g> ...
I keep looking and enjoying and thinking and ... looking and enjoying! LOL
so grateful for your posting the pictures of your beautiful work, Harmony <wave>

The instructions just said to put a dark next to a light. I did the best I could, but sometimes a blue would be a dark and sometimes it would be a light. There honestly is no way to plan this--I think it's pretty hard to make a mistake, because the fabrics are designed to go together, which is why these jelly roll things are so awesome!

Refresh my fading memory---which line was that? It's a Moda, right?

I love that shabby chic look and feel. You did a great job!

And, I was going to ask you ... did you cut your strips down to a smaller length for more mixing up, or did you just sew the full strips together?
Eleanor Burns likes working with a half length of the WOF ... and others do a beautiful job with the full strip ... which is your preference?

Harmony I always love your quilts; this one turned out great, it definately looks 'scrappy' which is my favourite. You keeping this one?
