Default Gemstone Block

this block is from Judy Martin's Stars CD. I made it for a block swap. Usually I'm not so picky about things but since this is not for me and someone else is going to be looking at my points and seam allowances I tried to be as "perfect" as possible. I didn't want to be the "ONE" whose block couldn't be used. I think it turned out lovely but after redoing it 3 times I am glad to say I'm thankful I only had to make one. =) But I can envision a quilt....maybe I will add it to my growing list of want to do's...

That must have been a *#%* to get so perfect. Beautiful block!

For the kites I went to Quilters Cache and found a similar block piece and printed it off and paper pieced it. I had to draw a line for the yellow piece but I was wasting so much trying to get it right that I had to do something. =)
