Default German Sister's first quilt

This is our German sister, Sabine. Hanging on the wall is her first quilt. She put it together before she came to visit last week. While she was in the states, she went with us to the fabric store and had a blast choosing fabrics to take home. Some of her purchases are laying on the floor in front of her.

Sabine has started off with a bang! You wouldn't expect such a precise and detailed first project - those black pieces are pure genius! Tell her to join the board. I want to see where she goes from here.

I assume that Sabine is on the floor? The fabrics are beautiful! So is the quilt. I know she will love doing her projects. So nice that she got to visit!

Sabine's first quilt is beautiful. I am sure she had tons of fun in our fabric stores. I lived in Germany for five years - way back when - and though I was not a quilter then, I was a home sewer and they did not have the array of fabrics we do here. If that is still the case, she DID have fun buying fabric to take home. Her first quilt is very impressive.

Wow, what a fantastic first quilt !!!! Isn't it great to have a sister that is also a quilter? I am lucky that way too. Thanks for sharing and have fun with your sis while she is visiting.
