Gf retiring after 38 years, Single Irish Chain pattern called Chain of Jewels

This quilt was literally flying back to Canada with my g/f of 37 years yesterday. She came for a visit and fell in love with it, of course I told her she could have it but if she wanted one specifically for made for her in her preferred colours I would do it. She said she loved the one off the guest room bed. I completed a quilt label and asked her to sew it on when she returned home. I am glad I made the coordinating pillowcases ahead of time!

Kind of like giving someone the shirt off your back huh? That was sweet of you to give it to her. It is a lovely quilt. Will you be making another one like it? BrendaK

I love giving quilts to people who will love and snuggle in them. I am sure your gf will get many years of snuggle comfort out of it.

Beautiful! Yes BrendaK, instead of the shirt off your back, I guess the Quilter's creed would be: the quilt off my bed.
