Would you please tell me what an Interventionist is? Whoever or whatever he is, it looks like he is getting a really nice quilt made by a thoughtful friend and admirer.

Wonderful quilt! I read The Boxcar Children to my classes. They loved learning about a different time...and loved the adventures the kids had. So nice of you to make this quilt and give it away.

We finished the 2nd one today. They sure eat a lot of bread and milk. lol It's a little slow for a few of mine, but most loved it. Now we're back to a Puppy Place book to finish the year.

They are the folks/teachers who go into many classrooms a day to help the students who need a boost--in reading and math. He is in my room daily, 30 min in the morning, then 30 min in the afternoon. He's the age of my son--never stops smiling. Just a kind soul. He will love this. I'll give it to him next Friday when we have our All-Read-Day (my students requested one). He's coming in to read them a picture book--so the perfect time to give it to him.

    Love the quilt!

"Interventionist"? Interesting title. The University where I worked had a "Reading Recovery" program. I'm guessing it's the same idea. The idea was first developed by a teacher in Australia. Worked wonders with children who were struggling with reading.

Yes--their title has changed through the years. They follow different programs to help the kiddos. My class exploded with their reading this year--but most first graders do. I think they would have made great progress even without me there. ;-)
