Our son is at Utah State University. For Christmas he gave the cat a fuzzy throw. That was so sweet, but she has enough places to deposit hair without another blanket. Her fav is a blanket from my daughter's youth, almost as old as she is. Bun is a siamese, and turned 18 years last winter - she's doing great!!
So I got some coordinating fleece in navy and gray, and some plaid flannel for the back. I used the fleece throw and made it into a big boy size blanket for those cold college nights. He's get it for his birthday next week.
I did a wavy stitch to quilt it together, using a walking foot. It was pretty quick! And best of all, Bun the kitty approves of it!
