Default UFO - batik and blender squares

Years ago, I started making a bunch of 5" squares, like mini log-cabins (center square + one row around) in muted shades. Stuck 'em away for years. Dragged them out this weekend and made this (had to make some additional squares to have enough). May become our new king size quilt-- with some borders attached, anyway.

Tell you whar... if that doesn't become your new bed quilt, what say it becomes mine? LOL! I love it! It's subtle & dynamic all at the same time. And gorgeous all the time! Congrats on a beautiful quilt AND knocking out a UFO! One down & a zillion more to go, right? LOL! The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step...

WOW! Your quilt is very striking. I love the colours and your choice of layout. Doesn't it feel good to get an UFO completed!
