Default Grand daughter making a quilt

My 10 year old granddaughter loves to sew. So far she has made 6 quilts. two of them she entered in the local fair and recieved ribbon for them. The first one she got a second place. The second one she got first place and reserved champion. She has made two quilts for quilts for kids. Last year she made a queen size quilt for her bed. Then she made a cute baby quilt for a cousin. Now she just finished this on for a new causin to be born in Feb.

I love hearing when kids/grandkids sew...it's up to us to pass it on. Your granddaughter has a good heart to already be sharing her talent with others. Love the horse quilt!

Give her a pat on the back, for the wonderful quilts that she has made.

That's neat and she's so pretty. I'm glad to hear that youngsters have an interest in something worth while instead of sitting in front of a tv or game machine. The quilts she made are lovely. I wish I could spend time teaching my granddaughter to sew. That was my ambition and my son moved 750 miles away when she was 12. That did it. Now she is 25 with a 4 month old baby boy of her own. I guess I'll never get to teach her now.
