Am friend of mine, just moved her parents to a nursing home. They have been cleaning out the house and have come across several old quilts. She said they were made by her great grandmother, but that the children didn't even know they existed. Her mother kept them stored away and never used them. That is such a pity. They have spent their lives in a box instead of being enjoyed.

Beautiful quilt and quilting! My grandmother hand pieced quilts, and Baptist Fan quilting was one of her favorite quilting designs. I think it complements your quilt perfectly....old time quilt pattern paired with old time quilting design. Thanks for sharing
