A few months ago DD and I were fabric shopping and my 5 yo grandson Landon was with us. He saw some dinosaur fabric and asked me to make him a new quilt with it. My daughter bought it, and I made it with the D9P pattern. Just when I was ready to quilt it, I went to the Glendale Quilt Guild show and I found some Superior thread that glows in the dark!! Instant lightbulb!! I bought some and after quilting the while quilt I went back & quilted some dinosaur outlines and Landon's name into the quilt with the glow in the dark thread.

I sent it home with him and told him mommy will show you a secret about your quilt. She laid out the quilt in the bright light, then took him and the quilt into a bathroom with no windows. He was waiting and waiting....then his eyes adjusted and he saw my surprise!! He was so surprised!! DD said he just laughed and laughed! Later in the day, he picked up the quilt and said "I'm going back in there", and she could hear him laughing all by himself in the dark bathroom!!! Here's me showing the quilt at our guild show & tell.

How neat that is. I didn't know they made thread that glowed in the dark.
