    Default Grandson's U.S. states quilt

My 3 year old grandson can already name a lot of the states, so when I saw this panel I thought he'd enjoy it. I added a piece to the top and bottom to make it big enough. Quilted by my good friend Dixie. Got the binding finished just in time on Christmas morning! Thanks for looking!

That was very clever gift to make for your grandson. It will also help him learn his state capitals or don't they do teach that any more?

I have seen that panel before and think it is a great one for kids. Your match on the turquoise fabric for the top and bottom is perfect. I also like the accent on your binding.

This is a great use for that panel. Your grandson will really benefit from having this and you will be glad you made it. We use to play "name the capitols of the states" at dinner quite often when my kids were young. They got really good at knowing all the capitals. Then my dh moved on to other countries. Probably couldn't do that now do to all the shifting of borders and names. Great quilt! Every young child should have one.
