All shapes are machine appliquéd with a satin stitch and rayon thread....except for the one seam on the horizon that you stitch before you add the left side of grass.
Matraina.... take a moment to google Row by Row Experience 2015 and you will find over 2000 quilt shops throughout the US and Canada that participated in providing visitors with a free pattern to stitch a row.... OR... they also provided kits that you could purchase including the fabrics, HTH.

That is one beautiful row and it looks fantastic. I will be anxious to see the rest of the quilt as you progress. I think this row by row idea really swept the quilting world. Great idea.
