Default great tools for cutting hawiian applique

yesturday someone posted a question about cutting out hawiian appliques--now i can't find the original post- but i did take pictures of my tools--they are wonderful!
i do hawiian applique in 2 different ways--one-with freezer paper- where i cut out the design on the freezer paper- then press the freezer paper to the fabric- then use my little cutting tools to cut out the fabric- the other method i use is with paper backed fusable- where i draw the design onto the paper- fuse it to the fabric-then use my tools to cut it out

the tools are a mini rotory cutter & a swivel knife- they are so great to use...I believe i bought them from Nancy's Notions-
I do use a regular (kitchen) cutting board when using the knife...not my rotory cutting mat
the knife is like an exacto knife- except miniture...makes cutting details so much easier.

Thanks for sharing. I am sure those tools would work cutting out any small pictures or graphics.

Someone posted about the little knife awhile back but I've never seen a tiny rotary cutter like that! I googled them and found them at Nancy's, Amazon, and other places. They're billed as crafter tools for scrapbooking etc. I didn't see any info on whether you can get extra blades for the rotary cutter or even if they're replaceable. But they sure are neat!! I think the post I saw was about using the knife for cutting quilting stencils. I'm a gadget nut and will have to put these on the list to get!

I have that knife, but I can't seem to get the hang of using it.

I bought the rotary cuter form my quilt shop about 5 years ago. I have not been able to figure out a way to use it.
