Default Great week at our county fair!
What a fun week we had at our county fair! I'm still on cloud 9---there were 28 entries in my open class quilt class (age 22-65) and I took 1st and 2nd!!! Grand Champion ribbon went to my flannel drunkards path quilt (first time doing curves and working with flannel) and Reserve Champion to my purple pansy with applique quilt (first time doing wavy border). What a thrill to have both hanging side-by-side at the fair. I also got 'People's Choice' for my 12 inch barn block. The local quilt shop put this competition on and they will make a quilt with all the blocks and auction it off later. Proceeds will go to our local food shelf. Already thinking about next year! Thanks for looking
