    Default Halloween twister border

Just completed this project last night and now it's ready to be quilted. I'm undecided if I want to try to quilt it myself or send it out to be quilted. I've only done sid and it would not work well with the panel part. Would doing cross-hatching distract the panel? Is it better to send it out to have it quilted?

No thoughts about the quilting, but, the hanging is adorable!

It looks to me like you could do some outline stitching around things like the hats, pumpkin, etc. You could SID between the sections of the panel even if there isn't a real ditch.

i agree with lisa. barring that, i'd do a larger meander before i'd do a crosshatch.

If it's a wall hanging, you don't need as much quilting as one that will be used and washed. I would quilt it myself. You can do it. If you don't do free motion, you can do wonders with a walking foot. I quilt all kinds of designs using my walking foot. Give it a try. You'll do just fine!!
