I hope your daughter is feeling better now. What are you going to use the appliques for???

I've seen a really neat quilt done with leaves and vines in columns separated by a print fabric. You could even make one in 3-D--sew two leaves together and attach with a leaf vein.

It is always nice to keep your hands (and your mind) busy while sitting with a sick one. I did some hand embroidery when my father was in the hospital. They want us to be there, but are not always 'with it' enough to 'visit'.

Hopefully you DGD's Chrohn's get better!

I love those kind of potholders. I would use the cirles as applique on solid fabrics and make a quilt. Just my idea.

Great work. I too have a hexagon project on the go and comes out for hospital visits. It great to be able to pass the time and achieve something and in your case help your d pass the time too.

Sorry about the hospital stay and hope things are better but it is good when you can fill the hours with fun things.
