Hanging Batting - How my son did it.
I have been reorganizing my quilting and sewing supplies and let me tell you, this is harder and more time consuming than moving. 1. empty room 2. paint room 3. build shelves, etc. 4. hang batting 5. empty closet 6. start moving fabric ... 1 re-sort and refold fabric 2. cull fabrics and donate ... 1. start moving fabric again 2. decide how to sort 3. spend hours (days) moving fabric. Of course, I also had to empty two closets in the den so that I could move the stuff out of the sewing room closet, whiich meant that I had to clean the utility room and move that stuff in. See what I mean. It is never ending. I haven't done any quilting for weeks!
Anyway, Tinker requested a photo of how my son hung the batting from the ceiling. Nothing eleborate, hooks, and rope that is all, but I can pull it down to the length that I want to cut it, mark it and then cut. Should be so much easier.

WOW! Can I borrow him for a little while? Maybe he could help me with my sewing room too!
I know what you mean about never ending! I started my Spring cleaning about 4 weeks ago and it is stll rolling along. Once I free up an area, there is more stuff that needs to be organized and moved. oh my I am tired! I want to get back to my quilting projects so bad! haha!

I thought it was just me. Had no energy after a road trip with my 90 year old mother. Rested up while dreading the work. Finally kicked myself where it counts and got busy. Did some work in sewing room, but it wasn't as bad as the rest of the house. then there was the yard work that had to be done. got my planting done yesterday, Mopping and laundry today, and I am going to sew today if it kills me. and I love the hanging batting. What a great idea.

I'm one of those people who need to 'figure things out'. Did you put the nylon rope through the center of the batting, or is it through a tube of some sort that the batting is wound around?
What a great idea!
