Judy, I see you live in Santa Barbara. My best friend lives in Goleta, and she became interested in quilting a few years ago. She says there are no quilt stores in Santa Barbara so she shops for fabric when she comes to Phoenix to visit me. She also takes a class or two when she's in Phoenix. Do you know of any quilt stores in Santa Barbara?

VERY nice! Makes me want to collect (or wish I'd saved those from my youth) them.
Bet the quilts will look really nice in your sisters home.

Beautiful quilt! I've been looking in thrift stores to try to find hankies to make a quilt but no luck. My grandmother used them all the time (kept the nicest of them without using them til they dry rotted which is why I use EVERYTHING I have). Does anyone know a source for hankies? Thanks for sharing your lovely quilts!

What a beautiful idea. Thanks for posting this cause I have a bag of Hankies and knew I wanted to do something with them and this gives me a great idea. Hope you don't mind if I copied your pic for reference.

There is a Craft Store in Santa Barbara, Goleta area. They have nice fabric. Name is Craft Esstentials on Turnpike Rd. There is Rosanne's in Carpinteria, about 15 miles away. I live between SB and Goleta. Might know your friend.
