Default Happy quilt for a friend

I have a dear friends who, for years, has said "when are you going to make ME a quilt?" I knew I would make her one at some point, but someone was always having a baby, or graduating, or something. Now she is on hospice, so she of course got moved to the top of the list. The quilt, made from a jelly roll I have had for some time, is actually Bric-a-Brac from the book Jelly Roll Quilts by Kathy Brown, but I call it Covered in Love. It was beautifully quilted by my friend on her long arm. I KNOW my sweet friend will love it. And on a personal note- if there's someone dear to you that you want to make a quilt for some day, do it now!

So sorry about your friends circumstances, but your quilt is cheerful and happy.

such a lovely quilt. She will love it. I was making one with fussy cuts of pin up girls. thought to make it for my friends husband and then found he went to hospice. I don't know if he ever saw it. wish i'd thought of doing it sooner.

I so agree, make the quilt. I lost my sister three months ago, she was also on Hospice for 4 months and she so treasured the quilt my sister and I made for her
