Yes something like that Piney, also what I will be doing is that of course there are odd cuts and the end of each strip so I shall be making a Till roll/Adding machine border with all the oddments v

I found this fabulous tip on this Forum String Piecing on adding machine paper and make a lot of borders this way now.

That was a great idea. Yes I have bought fabric often just because it was gorgeous with no idea of what to do with it. I wonder if anyone on this board has not.

I love that fabric. You picked a great way to show it off.

    Cool pattern!
A dog is not "almost human" and I know of no greater insult to the canine race than to describe it as such.

The problem is that one of my LQS stocks a huge range of his fabrics, oh dear my bank balance will never be the same again now I know a way to use it economically and show if off.

What I haven't mentioned is that there is virtually no waste with this pattern as the end cuts will be made into a piano key border.

FANtastic use of that fabric. Makes me feel like someone is using fans for a fan dance. AND yes, I have quite a few of those "to die" for fabrics on my shelf. The most I ever paid was $20 for a yard. Yes I eventually used it in a wall piece for my DD.

Good idea. Yes, I have bought fabric just 'cause I liked it. I have used some of it, but some of it I still have.
