I recently found this old quilt top that either my mom or grandmother made, I think. It has all manner of fabrics in it but I'm mostly interested in the name of the quilt block. It reminds me of a bow tie block but only in looks. I think it will make a great pattern once I figure out a few things. What do you all think?

Very interesting block, haven't seen it before. Would be very easy to draft a pattern.

I have seen it before in an antique quilt. I cannot recall the name of it though.

One that doesn't have the curves I found in my Block tool and it is called A Snowflake.

I like this way much better!

I just got that pattern last week from a site. The pattern was called Autumn Ripples. Can't remember where I got it from though. Hope this helps.

Looks like the same block, but the proportions are a bit different.
The secondary patterns with this block would be endless!
