Welcome to the Quilting Board!
This life is the only one you get - enjoy it before you lose it.
I drew the tree up from a picture, added a few branches to fit the names per family on a branch. I stem-stitched the names onto the 'leaves' first, light for female, dark for male. Buttonholed stitched the tree to the background, then buttonholed stitched each leaf in place on the branches.
I actually enjoyed doing the family tree and the recipient's family is thrilled with it so I have achieved what they wanted

Great quilt and Idea for family tree... love it...
That's a fun, funky quilt for a young lady. The family tree is a great idea for a back. Nicely done!
Love it - Can you direct me to the pattern for the front. I think that it is a D9P with the middle wonky.
Great work. I am sure that it will cherished forever.
Physically in Maryland but heart is in Indianapolis.
Rescued Boxers are adoptable love. Please consider a homeless/rescued pet when adding to your family.
Absolutely beautiful quilt. The top is just so sweet. And what a lovely idea for the back!
I love both sides! What a great heirloom!
