I Googled it and found a couple of possibilities. One is from a Dover book that has blocks representing all 50 states. The one for Missouri looks good. It has a star and what is supposed to look like a tail. Most of the others are bargello quilts. Hope this might help.

I have a copy of the pattern that I cut out of a magazine if you are interested. It will make a quilt that is 85" by 99" and is a bargello. It might take a while to get to you though, I am in Australia and the mail between here and there has been pretty slow lately, so if you aren't in to much of a hurry I would be happy to post it to you, just PM me your address.

It looks like the pattern is in the book ,"Twist and Turn Bargello Quilts". (It's spelled Halley's)

Hi Beverly, I will mail the pattern tomorrow, I hope you enjoy making it.
I would contact a moderator and have them remove your address from your post, it's really not safe to put private details on a public forum like this.

Hello,
I have been looking for "Halley's Comet" Bargello Pattern as well.
Can you please tell me what magazine it was in?

It was in an old Australian Patchwork and Quilting magazine, not sure which one as I sent the pattern to Bezzie. I do come across a lot of the old magazines, I can keep my eyes open for another copy for you if you like.

Just a friendly reminder to readers. This subject comes up a lot.

"Sharing" copies of patterns is nearly always against copyright law.

it is ok to give, trade or resell the originals - which includes the original pages removed from magazines, books, etc.

Thanks, Woody, for being so generous with your collected magazines.

It's always a joy when members help each other learn, grow, and to track down the hard to find patterns.
