I made this for a very unique friend of mine. She loves tie dye. My mom helped me, we didn't have a pattern, we just winged it. When we were buying the fabric my mom was thinking "oh my, I don't know how this is going to look. But we both ended up very happy with it. I did all the work myself with my mom instructing, except we sewed on the binding together.

I love it. You chose some beautiful, vibrant colors and they look so good together.

So, what's next?

My mom worried that if she put it on her bed that it would keep her awake at night! LOL. But right now I have a pink, yellow and blue rail fence quilt loaded in my long arm. I'm a little bit afraid to start sewing...

Home run for your first quilt!!! Beautiful and bright- and the bonus of working with your mom is priceless. Now we are all excited to see what wonderful creation will be your 2nd quilt. :):):)

Since I made this, I temporarily drifed in a different direction. I made my granddaughter a flanel nightgown with lace and ruffles. She's three and she calls it her "lady." She was a little on the tomboy side until I gave her that, now she's a princess. So I have been sewing pj's for her. But I think she has enough, so back to quilting.

My second quilt isn't near as fun looking as the first. It's more baby colors. But I think my little GD Lorah Poo will like it for cuddling up on the couch to watch movies.
