I pieced all the blocks together and this is the result. Still don't know what I'm going to do about a border. Would love some opinions!

Thank you all for your support and encouragement on this first project of mine. I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out. It has some flaws, but I believe when it comes to crafts and anything handmade, flaws create character in the piece.

Blocks set out before final piecing.

Hubby holding up the top, all pieced together. I'm so proud!

Layin on the couch..for the idea of the size.

You have done a wonderful job!!!! Your blocks, piecing, fabrics, WOW :D :D I would never have known this was your first quilt. :D :D

I can't help you on your borders....I really struggle with that myself.

Hey--CONGRATS!! You learned a lot from piecing all those different squares!! You have every reason to be proud. Hooray!! :D :D :D

Borders? I'm not sure... I'll have to look again...

Okay--I'm back--I guess, because of all the different colors, I'd do a log cabin border (one side, then the next touching one, rather than opposite sides at the same time) and have each side a different fabric from the quilt.

Maybe a wide pink border with black binding?

Wow glad you finished your quilt and didn't give up.....you have done a nice job......

As for a border I think I would go with a black border with a multi colored rectangle border of the colors that are in your blocks and then another black border.....just food for thought .......good luck choosing the right one for you.....:-)

VERY nice work! Great job, Jen! I like it very much. Black border would be cool. White would also work. Or pink like one of the colors in the quilt since there seems to be a lot of pink. White border, black binding. Black border, pink binding? I don't know, but it's pretty!
