And here we go with some more.....
.... boxes!!! Tadaa..... I just love making them and they're such special presents with or without content
The pink one was for our grand-daughter who had her 9th birthday yesterday, I put some hair bands and bracelets in it. The other 2 will be in a lot of 7 (still 5 to make... ) I intend to give to the ladies working at my doctors surgery. They have been so specially nice and helpful with many things. I don't have to go to the surgery and sit in the waiting room to go and see my GP just to get a prescription, I can just ring up and they fax it straight to the chemist. You've got to know that we live in the bush and we don't go to town that often, so favors like that are special to us. Also as my hubby has been diagnosed with terminal cancer end of last year, there is always some sort of medication to top up with. There are 5 ladies working there and I thought if I make 7 boxes that will then give them the chance to each choose one they like, 7 gives a bit more of a choice
Also this coming Friday we are starting again, after a long break, our Ladies Morning Tea and Fellowship at church and I have been asked if I would be willing to stay on into the afternoon to show the ladies who are interested to do some craft, to make those boxes. So I've already cut up all the needed fabrics and wadding. Our meeting will be fortnightly but we will follow up with a craft session only once a month for a start and see how we go and some ladies are interested to learn how to make a quilt!!! So I'm looking forward to all this activity as I'm sure it will be lots of fun!!!
Lots of blessings to all you dear quilters out there!!! <3
