That is beautiful! I can see that it might have been a challenge when it came to putting the blocks together. So nice that you and your MIL can share something you both love.

That is one of the most interesting Log Cabins I have ever seen and just downright gorgeous. Another one for the bucket list. That darn bucket list is getting longer every day. lol Just wanted to say, I think you are so lucky to have a MIL that shares your passion for quilting. I piece tops together with a friend. It is so much more fun, than always working by myself and it keeps me focused so I get twice as much sewing done when we do it together.

Stunning quilt! You and your mother-in-law are real artists. Was it difficult to hand quilt through the batiks, especially with all those seams?

in regards to the difficulty of quilting, it was a challenge for the lady who hand quilted it. She had a number of seam allowances to go through, especially if the design forced her to go through the smallest patches. Her fingers were sore till she finished the job.
