To store it without folds, you could roll it on a long tube. PVC piping comes in various diameters. A fabric shop/source might have an empty tube that you could have.

its stunning when i saw it i loved it so much i bought two. my daughter and son in law are both active military serving in yellowknife, nwt so i thought i would make one for them for next years anniversary
