I screwed up the "Hugs and Kisses" when I laid it out and now that is is sewn together I think it looks to narrow for the length. It is 48"x32".

I only have a week or 2 to get it done so my parents can deliver it to my cousin's baby girl. So a bit of a time crunch~

What can I add to the sides? I am thinking about using the alphabet blocks from Quilters Cache and putting her first name down each side. And then an outside border all the way around to frame it all.

What do you think?

Her name on the side borders would be really cute. If you have enough fabric you could add a row to make it wider.

What a pretty quilt! How about a single border around the outside, the same width as the letters. Her name would be sweet.

An extra row would make the quilt symmetrical and then you could just bind it.

I'd do the extra row if it was my quilt.

Looks really cute! FYI: a chart I have from a LQS says that a crib quilt is 32" by 45".

Make it 6x6 so it ends up 48x48. I make many of that size for baby quilts. That way it can be used to cover the baby but it is also nice to lay the baby on it. so add two more rows of blocks to the short side. I agree with you it is too narrow.
