The benefits of being broke.

While going to the fabric store and adding to the stash is good for the instant gratification in all of us, right now my financial circumstances require I be more frugal. Therefore, tapping the stash and making do with what I have is the the main mode of transportation to my creative needs at the moment.
Some years back, a professional photography friend was visiting and gifted me with a number of photos he developed on fabric. I have divided them into a few different sets, each to be constructed somehow into a small quilt. I've started the first (actually, the second, some of you may remember the Peeping Tom quilt) and I am digging the colors I've put together for the start of the project.
Here is a taste of what's on the cutting table. The strata, put together.
