I am having lots of fun practicing FMQ and this quilt for my DD is a perfect one to practice on. The wavy (inside) border I did 2 sides of following the wavy lines with FMQ and 2 sides with continuing spirals. The spirals were lots of fun. I'm at a loss for how to quilt the outside border though. It is a busy fabric. I've tried feathers but wasn't sure it was the best fit for the fabric pattern. I'd love some suggestions. Pretty please :)

Maybe some leafy vines or loose flowers and vines. Looking good:)

How about looping hearts (one right side up and then the next is upside down)? It's a continuous line quilting pattern.

Otherwise, I think feathers would look good too if they were larger.

You could quilt around the larger flowers and loopy vine between them.

I don't quilt designs, just FMQ, I am no help. Looks good so far.

Love those spirals on the pink, you are good.

Would love to see the whole quilt, love the colors. I think FMQ would also go on the outside border, anything that keeps the pace of what you have done on the larger quilt part.

That border is so busy, it is likely not going to show up.

I like the quilt.

Flowers... it won't be noticable whatever you decide.

So glad I asked here. Some great ideas. Will wait to see if a few more come in before I start tomorrow or Tuesday.

That is my thought too. Nothing is going to show up too well. I've tried on a couple of sandwich squares with left over fabric and so far nothing has looked too good. But... it is a great opportunity to practice my FMQ, so I might just pick a pattern I want to try and practice up the sides. Something loose and flowie and whimsical?
