Sorry it has taken me so long, I will find out what size. I do have to mention that she made her own, so do not know if it was a "normal" size.
She has since made 3 more quilts but different patterns ( one she came up with by herself again) and they are amazing too.
She was just playing around and put 4patches I believe together and started cutting them apart. I told her it reminded me of the disappearing 9 patch. She had no clue what I was talking about. I got the honor of quilting them for her. I will ask her if I would be able to post their pictures too.

She found these fabrics in Hawaii, last year when she went with a friend.

My goodness she should be very proud of herself, her points match better than some people who have been sewing or quilting for a while. Awesome job, tell her this should just be the beginning of her quilting journey.

For someone who never made a quilt and had not even sewed before she is fantastic. Also, sounds like she needs to join this board and look at the picture section and get more ideas; who knows what beauties she could come up with.
