Wish I new how to make one of these. My daughter received one when she was born (31 years ago) and we still have it.

this is the easiest quilt I have made. I cut 4" square for the bottom and a 5 1/2 for the top, sew them together with right sides together and pleat on each side so the top block fit the bottom, left a small opening to turn and then turned stuffed and handed sewed close. after I had a bunch done, I started hand sewing each block together.

Did you stop in Williams, Az to buy the fabric? Isn't that the cutest quilt shop ever? Hope you have enough "Route 66" fabric to make another quilt. Love you quilt you made.

Yes the shop I stopped in was in williams Az, I love the shop, it so cute. I still have about 6 yards of route 66 fabric left of a different print. Guess I will have to find some more route 66 fabric so I can make him another one.
