Default I was afraid to quilt this one!

I originally posted this quilt under http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...t-t192967.html and asked for suggestions on how to quilt it, because I was intimidated by this quilt. I loved the piecing and didn't want to ruin it!

I finally hunkered down and decided my original idea of different elements in the colors would work, if I didn't overdo it. I used the elements of fire, water, sun, air, ground (mountain), heat, and plants. I'm not going to identify which is which, I'll let you decide for yourself!

I love the final look of this quilt, and although it came out a little bigger than planned, I appreciate that there is a lot of room under it, for I live with a cover thief!

I learned a lot quilting this top. I learned I can do "fancy" free motion and it looks fine to me. I even enjoyed doing it! I learned to pace myself, and most especially not to fear my quilt!

Enjoy!

Wow! That's a huge quilt and I love that you tied the machine quilting in with the 'elements' expressed by the colors.
That's a lot of work! Great quilt.

I love the colors and your quilting. The different patterns you quilted for each color is wonderful. Keep it up.

Bravo!!! You did a marvelous job of not only FMQ'ing, but of interpretation of your color areas and implanting them on the color sections. I can only wish for such confidence and results, but you have mastered it.
