I took my first quilting class in the spring of 2000. I completed a sampler top for the class, but then at age 45 went back to college. Now 8 years and several degrees later, school is over and this April I took my second quilting class. We pieced a Carpenters Star. I completed it at home and this morning at 2AM.....I finished it!!!! I am soooooo excited. Here is my quilt. I almost feel embrassed to post it after seeing all the awesome and beautiful art posted, but I don't think it is too bad for one of my first attempts.

I LOVE IT! If you really aren't happy with it, I would be glad to take it off your hands! :? :lol: It is on my bucket list! Really pretty! :lol:

thanks for the encouraging words. The colors of the picture aren't quite as rich as the real thing, but love those colors too. I didn't realize it when I bought them, but they were almost the exact same colors as my daughter had in her wedding 3 years ago :)

WOW nothing to be ashamed of in that quilt it looks AWESOME.
