soooo
i taped it to the hallway wall (with duct tape! ) and then used the spray baste. it is finished, just have to get the binding on, and no harm done to the wall!
i saw it done this way on a u-tube video, although she didn't use the hallway wall!

i would not have tried this if the hubby was home! lol

it was either that, and get it quilted,
or wait until today, when i go to the community center and use the tables to pin it. can't use the basting spray there, because the smell bothers alot of the women.
now i can take it with me to put the binding on!

Are you serious that it didn't hurt the paint???? There's no way to not get overspray! How did you do this?

nope, no harm. the paint is not a flat paint..so maybe that makes a difference. i put a sheet on the floor, that was the only thing i was worried about. i did not feel any sticky stuff on the wall either. i followed the instructions..for once!
i did it just like i would of done, if it had been on a table..taped the top center, then the bottom center,,then worked my way to the outsides, rotating top and bottom, pulling the backing as i went.
since i used basting spray..i did not need to tape the top down too..it was repositionable too.. i used warm and natural for the batting.
