this is the quilt that my grandmother gave me 14 years ago, it was made by her mother. It was in my basement in a tote that was on the bottom of a large stack of stuff. I had to go for it and dig it out

an error

How pretty! Love the fabric in the blocks, very unusual. So glad you found this treasure!

that is really pretty! So glad that you were given something like that. What a treasure. I have a quilt that my mom, grandma and great grandma all workred on, double wedding ring, and I love it. I t has been used for many years, but still in good shape. Completely handmade.

this one looks like it was pieced by machine, long armed and the binding is machine sewn to the back. All this time I have insisted on hand sewing my binding on cause thats the way my grandma's would have done it. WRONG, at least this grandma machine binded. lol

Love it. The error makes it unique - 1 of a kind.

Great that you found it. I always have heard that some people deliberately put an error in every quilt, that makes it extra special!!!

I love the odd block, because that makes it so special. And what a great piece of family history to come down to you.
