Default I had to make my own artist's palate

I'm making Bonnie Hunter's Jared takes a wife pattern, and the center of each star has a 3" square finished size. I'm making each one to represent a certain theme important to the recipient, and I've been looking for a painter's paint board palate on fabric and just couldn't find one. I did find one, but the designs are like 1/4" in diameter, too small to figure out what it is. So I appliqued (hate doing this) a heart and then sewed colored 1/4" buttons onto it for the paint dots, and hand embroidered the paintbrush.

Not bad, if I do say so myself!

This is going to be really nice when finished. I like the block and your painters palette is so original. A lucky person, who is receiving this.
