my daughter and I went shopping before Christmas for the fabric and today we cut out and started piecing the OBW.. here is where we have stopped for the day...

this has been so much fun.. the blocks are so pretty we keep playing with them..

the fabric we started with

Gorgeous blocks so far. I wouldn't have been able to see those in the original print. You have a good eye for fabric selection. I really want to try one of these, even bought a couple fabrics just to play with. Maybe now that the holiday sewing crunch is over!

I bought some fabric to make a wall hanging to try it out first. But can't find the repeats on mine.

Looks fantastic...I even like the fabric "before" - sometimes the "before" fabric is a bit unappealing. This is going to be amazing when you're finished. Looking forward to updates (hint, hint).

Unbelievable how those blocks came from the original fabric.. I have suitable fabric but not the courage as yet to cut.
