A few days ago I saw a post on here about mug rugs.....our oldest son's Birthday was yesterday.....so I made him one...I am going to get him another mug or glass...since he is more of a Mt Dew drinker than coffee.....I made his a little larger..that way he can also put a sandwich plate on it too.......I hope he likes it....

that is so cute. I seen the other mug rug on the board. That would make a cute christmas gift to make a mug rug and give them a new mug too. I think I might be doing that for christmas presents this year.

Very Cute! I love making these - they're fun and quick. Perfect project for that rainy afternoon!

and good practice - binding, border and hand quilting the binder...hmmm...this would even be a good way to practice machine quilting.

Very nice. He will love it. Like the idea of making it larger to put a sandwich plate on it.

What a cute idea. I haven't seen that idea before. I think I'll have to try some. At Christmas my family(I have a large family)we make gifts that are none person specific and put them in a gift box. Family members choose their gifts. With a coffee, tea, hot chocolate drinking family I think these would be a big hit.
