We met in Mio at a darling quilt shop called Stitches For You. We only got to visit a short amount of time but she is a joy!! The ladies at the quilt shop were wonderful and it is a great little place. Of course I came home with a bag full but did find some Wizard of Oz fabric for 1/2 off!! Now what will I make with it? Joyce met me to get some of my pins and I even sold a few to the ladies at the shop. It was a wonderful afternoon! Thanks Joyce!!

Yes, Odessa got to meet Up North today, too! We really had a great time at Stitches for You in Mio, Michigan, and I got to see her pins up close. You would not believe how much detail she gets into these tiny little pieces! I bought 6 of the owls for a project we are doing at church. We plan to wear them as lapel pins, with little erasers to keep the points from poking.
If anyone is looking for a terrific gift for that quilter or sewing friend in your life, please order several of Up North's adorable little pins. They are the perfect size to tuck into a pincushion that you might take to a class ... everyone will know which one is yours because of the specialty pin(s) you've got in it. These would be a terrific addition to any quilter's Christmas stocking!
Up North, I had a really GREAT time with you, I'm so sorry I was running behind  . Next time we'll make a day of it ... perhaps we should select another quilt shop we want to visit???

NOTE: here is a link for photos of some of Up North's pins. They really are amazing!

Congrats on meeting up. I know one other member of the board personally, but feel like I know so many more. I hope to meet up with other members in person some time. Let me know if you are ever going to be in the greater St. Louis area!
