I crosshatched the embroidered blocks, but I am a total loss as to what to do with the sashing and borders. I need some 'sweet little baby boy' ideas. Got any?

Absolutely adorable quilt.
How about just 1/4 inch out from squares so as not to take anything away from those wonderful blocks.

That looks wonderful--how about something in a paler blue for borders, maybe a "cloud" print to go with the stars?Or a yellow print?

I see stars in the border print. Maybe that would be cute to make them little baby starlets. (Stars and curlicues quilting... Or flowers like in the pictures)

That's adorable. Love the embroidery.
I'm no help at all with the borders. Sorry.
