    I like the purple border; it just seems to make it all come together and really pop. This is a gorgeous quilt and your GD should find this a treasure. Great job. Thank you for sharing.

    The dark purple border looks nice and the black to finish off with the binding. If you are going larger, then you may want to consider isnthatodd's suggestion. BTW its a stunning quilt!

    I think a nice purple border will pull it all together and then use the black for the binding.

    i think that you should use the black and white (backing) for the border (if you have enough) and then use the black for the binding...can't wait to see the finished project ...

    I would use the purple for the border and bind it with the black
