They're both so beautiful! I bet your DD is just going to love her's! 'Kayak on the Lake' - don't you all kayak as a family? What a wonderful reminder of good times for her! :) :)

Karla, they are both gorgeous - love the blues and greens, adore the quilting - well done, keep that great long-armer busy :)

Yes--I emailed these photos to my daughter and she loved it. :-D I let my quilter know. The story behind it is so personal--I didn't want to sell it, but didn't need another quilt. So, I'm very happy/grateful Rach loves it, wants it AND understands the story.

My husband has a kayak, and I have two--one for when he's with me (longer and heavier) and one for when I paddle alone (shorter and lighter  ). Rachel has come with us and used one of mine. She was with us the day I took photos for some research for this top. I posted them last year. She said she doesn't need the quilt now because she has at least three already in her house at college and two home, so I said I'll save it for when she's ready. It has a home. :-D

Beautiful! I've been wondering how I will quilt my TIC when I finally get it done, and this gives me some great ideas. Thank you for sharing.
