I'm working on this disappearing nine patch - I Spy quilt. The picture doesn't show the true colors - bright pink with silver for the corner squares and the cream settings are really silver.

I haven't sewn the blocks together yet. I have about 1/2 the block here - and more to finish sewing. I guess it's okay. But I just think it looks kind of plain.

Any thoughts or advise?

Thanks for your help.

I think it looks great. I might think about a narrow dark border, and a wider one in the dark pink and silver. I think that would make it POP. But I have to say I think it is really pretty.

I think with a border and once it's quilted you will not think it is so plain. It's going to be really pretty when done.

I agree, it is very pretty now and a border or two can make the fabrics in the center pop :D:D:D

I like it. To me it looks really precious - like gems set in silver, a very calm and cool sort of beauty. Perhaps not the usual super-flashy-bright I-spy... but that's just what strikes me about it, it's unique and very beautiful.

The white was a good choice to make your I Spy blocks stand out. I agree with the others that with borders and quilting this will be a fabulous quilt.

Okay, I guess I'll quit worring and get to sewing. Thanks!! I think you are right once those borders get on it will pop and I'll be happy. Whew - what a relief to be able to come here and get some advise.

Sometimes you just get so wrapped up in the project that you need another opinion. Glad we could help.
